What you should know about me:
Genevieve, originally from San Diego, CA, moved to the Bay Area to attend Mills College where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies with a minor in modern dance. She became interested in physical therapy while rehabilitating a back and hip injury after dancing professionally for several years. Genevieve went on to receive her doctorate from the joint program in physical therapy at the University of California San Francisco/San Francisco State University.
Genevieve was drawn to pelvic floor PT because she believes pelvic health is fundamental to one’s health and sense of well-being. She completed her doctorate research project on pelvic floor muscle strengthening to treat pelvic organ prolapse, a condition that is extremely common and impacts the lives of many. Genevieve has also received training in pelvic floor physical therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association and treats a variety of pelvic floor conditions in addition to treating orthopedic conditions such as low back pain and sport injuries.
