I believe deeply in trauma-informed care that allows the session to be led by the patient’s specific needs. While no two sessions look the same, I often utilize visceral mobilizations, dry needling, breathing for CNS down-regulation, jaw and cranial mobilizations, soft tissue release, internal myofascial release, and somatic release movement techniques. I also consistently educate on the brain’s fear response, more often related to trauma, albeit medical or otherwise. Most of my sessions are focused on creating a therapeutic alliance with my patients to develop the plan of care they need. I always correspond with other members of their medical team and assist my clients in finding the necessary qualified professionals to aid in their care.
Dr Jill is amazing. After going from doctor to doctor for endometriosis to be dismissed or gaslighted, it is amazing to find a provider who is so knowledgeable and truly caring about her patients. I’ve worked with Jill for about a year now and everytime I go to see her I feel better mentally and physically and leave feeling more hopeful. She’s the only provider who consistently can be relied on to give me resources that actually are helpful. I highly recommend her to everyone.
Jill has been the most impactful addition to my care team. I have had painful periods since the age of 13, and now in my mid thirties after two surgeries, I found myself at a complete loss regarding my pain and loss of mobility and function. Jill is the person who filled that gap between surgical specialists and prescription medicine.
Walking into Jill’s office and seeing immediately a stack of books on endometriosis, I already felt she was someone dedicated to being informed and up to date. She lived up to this impression. She has a wealth of knowledge and constantly educates herself on current standards, new research, and topics that intersect with endometriosis (such as trauma, lack of access to medical care, etc).
She was the first person to help me understand my body and how endometriosis was affecting my pelvic floor, as well as other parts of my body. Nearly every issue I have had, Jill has been able to explain it, and treat it. She is proactive, a truly dedicated listener, and her professionalism is top tier.
When I started with Jill, I needed a mobility aid most days, and was struggling terribly with my pelvic floor and nerve pain. With Jill’s expertise and understanding of the disease, she was able to help me while being mindful of flare ups, and developing a home practice that would be safe and tolerable. Now I rarely need the mobility aid, and have resumed most of my normal activity. I always feel better leaving her office.
She also was collaborative with my other care team members, willing to work with them and carry out a harmonious approach to my care: something long neglected in the field of endometriosis treatment.
I cannot say enough good things about Jill’s practice. I would confidently recommend her to anyone in need of pelvic floor therapy as a part of their endo care.
