Philosophy of care and typical treatment strategies: Patients with endometriosis have pain, muscle dysfunction, fascial restrictions, and postural dysfunction. Patients with endometriosis present as a chronic case and often have multiple surgeries (laparoscopic). Patients with endometriosis benefit from the combination of the approach of visceral mobilization, myofascial release, posture education, stretching exercise, strengthening exercise, pelvic floor therapy, breathing mechanics, and pressure management. I was lucky enough to treat a patient post-excision surgery. The surgery was performed by Dr Ken Sinervo for thoracic endometriosis, and the patient benefited from the diaphragm and pelvic floor release and improved coordination of muscles (diaphragm-pelvic floor piston).
