Endometrioma

I had an MRI that found an endometrioma. My OB GYN doctor simply messaged me saying “your MRI found an endometrioma” and that’s it. What does that mean? Do I have endometriosis, or does this just mean it’s very likely I do? Thank you!

You absolutely have endometriosis. Endometrioma is endometriosis of the ovary and when I see endometrioma, I suspect deep endometriosis involvement of the pelvic sidewall, bowel, diaphragm. I will recommend seeing an endo specialist.
