Jen received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego in 2007. At UCSD, she enjoyed keeping up her gymnastics skills, coaching gymnastics to kids and adults, and taking numerous dance classes through the dance department. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 2010. She received her Board Certification Specialty in Orthopedics the following year after completing the Orthopedic Residency Program in 2011. Her passion is working with all individuals to reach their goals, especially women, moms, runners, weight lifters, and performing artists. She is an active mom of two herself (est. 2013 and 2016) and loves helping other mothers feel strong and capable. In addition to her specialization in treating orthopedic regions (including temporomandibular dysfunction, or TMD), she has done extensive coursework in treating the pelvic floor for women across the lifespan and plans to sit for the PRPC (Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification) exam in 2022. She has also done coursework through Herman and Wallace so she can provide education and therapeutic massage to nursing mothers who are experiencing pain from clogged milk ducts or other painful breastfeeding conditions. Furthermore, she works with individuals recovering from breast surgery, including mastectomy and breast reconstruction.
