Philosophy of care and typical treatment strategies:

My philosophy of care is to treat the patient as a whole. As someone who personally has Endometriosis, I understand that there is more to Endo than pelvic pain. During my initial evaluation, we review current and past interventions. I also assess the pelvic floor, abdomen, hips, low back, load transfer, as well as other genitourinary/ colorectal pathology. Treatment focuses heavily on manual therapies including fascial release, muscle energy techniques, indirect release, visceral mobilizations, use of cupping or IDN. Exercises are yoga/ pilates in nature and focus more on mobility with progression to strengthening. Devices such as dilators, TENS, therawands, etc are used to augment therapy at home. Referrals to other health professionals to create a patient-focused team are also part of my treatment philosophy.
