Difficulty breathing after eatinf
Can cardiothoracic endometriosis cause difficulty breathing after eating and increased heart rate after eating (110-120 resting bpm 40 mins after eating when ovulating or menstruating)?
Are there certain symptoms that you see with cardiothoracic endo that I can be on the lookout for?

Absolutely, there are several symptoms associated with thoracic endometriosis that you can be aware of. These symptoms often align with the menstrual cycle. The most common symptom is catamenial pneumothorax, which is a recurrent pneumothorax occurring within 72 hours of the onset of menstruation, experienced by 80% of symptomatic patients. This condition can cause pleuritic chest pain, cough, and shortness of breath, similar to spontaneous pneumothorax. Other symptoms include catamenial hemothorax (14% of patients) and catamenial hemoptysis (5% of patients). Rarely, pulmonary nodules may also be present. Additionally, diaphragmatic irritation may cause referred pain to the periscapular region or radiation to the neck, most often on the right side. In fact, the right hemithorax is involved in up to 92% of cases. However, 5% of cases involve the left hemithorax and 3% experience bilateral symptoms. Please note that many patients may be asymptomatic, and these symptoms can also occur before menstruation, during the periovulatory period, and following intercourse. Always consult with a healthcare professional if you experience any of these symptoms.
Regarding your question about increased heart rate and difficulty breathing after eating, we could not find any evidence or case report to support it. But Endometriosis is a big imitator and there might be a slight chance that your symptoms are related to endo.
